Sr. Operations Agent - Time Critical (16:00-00:00)

Job Summary
Coordinate urgent shipments across multiple international regions by generating transport documentation, selecting optimal ground or air modes, and negotiating rates with carriers like UPS and DHL. Liaise daily with customs brokers to expedite clearance, audit freight invoices for billing accuracy, and resolve operational issues to maintain seamless handovers between time zones. Act as the primary contact for client inquiries and service failures while supporting domestic sales teams with accurate freight quotes and cost-saving strategies. Work rotating shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays to ensure continuous coverage for time-sensitive freight.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in freight operations, logistics, or a related field
- At least 2 years' practical experience with motor carriers, freight forwarders, or express couriers
- High School Diploma or GED
- Proven capacity to work under pressure in fast-paced environments and manage multiple priorities
- Strong analytical mind with meticulous attention to detail
- Proficient in TMS/ERP systems and the Microsoft Office suite
- Client-focused, proactive attitude with a proven record of delivering service excellence
- Quick learner with excellent memory recall of operational data, rates, and carrier guidelines
- Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability to support a dynamic operational environment and changing business requirements
- Must be available for rotating shift patterns, including day, evening, weekend, public holiday, and night working
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Logistics
- Experience working within a shift-based logistics, freight forwarding, aviation, transport or other time-critical operational environment
