Job Summary
Senior-level role to support commission administration, policy accounting, and month-end close for Guarantee Trust Life. Responsibilities include serving as a key contact for agents, brokers, customers, policyholders, and internal partners; resolving commission-related inquiries; developing and maintaining commission structures; reviewing commission statements and payments for accuracy; supporting policy accounting reconciliations and month-end processes; preparing and analyzing commission-related accounting activity for accurate financial reporting; and contributing to cross-functional projects. Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, experience in accounting/financial services, strong analytical skills, Excel proficiency, and familiarity with PeopleSoft or LifePro; hybrid work arrangement with on-site presence in Glenview, IL.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Experience in accounting operations, commissions administration, policy accounting, financial services, or a related business environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to research discrepancies, interpret data, and identify process improvements.
- High attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with ability to collaborate across teams and provide excellent service to internal and external partners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with business systems such as PeopleSoft, LifePro, or similar platforms is preferred.
- Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly while supporting change, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
