Sr Observability Engineer

Job Summary
Design, implement, and optimize enterprise observability solutions by developing and executing the observability strategy. Architect and maintain frameworks for cloud and on-premises environments while integrating and automating tools such as AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog. Own and prioritize the product backlog for observability initiatives, define business-aligned KPIs, and enable self-service capabilities for engineering teams. Collaborate with IT, Security, Application, and business stakeholders to champion best practices and ensure compliance with data governance standards. Lead the adoption of monitoring platforms to foster a data-driven culture across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years' of experience in IT Operations, SRE, or similar roles
- Strong background in observability tools and practices (metrics, tracing, logging)
- Experience with cloud monitoring and ITOM platforms
- Solid understanding of DevOps and automation
- Proven product ownership and stakeholder engagement skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Administration experience with AWS and Azure environments
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code
- Demonstrated experience with observability platforms, cloud, infrastructure, complex network, automation and infrastructure as code, data pipelines, security and compliance, event management and visualization
- Familiarity with KPI frameworks and CMDB integrations
Desired Qualifications
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, CKA, ITIL, or relevant vendor certifications (preferred, not required)
