Sr. Network Technician

Monitor and maintain network connectivity across core and distribution hardware for voice, video, and data services, utilizing monitoring software to review alarms and logs for potential failures. Install hardware, circuits, and cross-connects to establish services, while administering the network interface with outside providers and coordinating infrastructure implementation with users and staff. Analyze existing or proposed projects to verify details and define implementation processes, often leading schedule and coordination efforts. Keep current on WAN and data center documentation, ensure event logs and backups are current, and maintain a safe, secure, and clean data center environment. Provide training to end users and participate in discussions regarding network hardening and redundancy.
