Job Summary
Deploy, configure, manage, and monitor LAN and WAN networks, including routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, wireless LANs, and VPN. Monitor network security and connectivity while gathering data to evaluate performance, troubleshoot issues, and determine user requirements. Maintain accurate documentation and respond to tier 3 support requests for network problems. This role supports the strategic IT goals of CMU's Computing Services department, which serves education, research, and administration efforts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computing Engineering or Computer Science
- 3-5 Years of Network Administration Experience
- 3-5 Years of Network Deployment and Support Experience
- 3-5 Years of Network Security Administration Experience
- Successful background check
