Job Summary
Senior Network Engineer at Applied Network Solutions (ANS) in Chantilly, VA. Lead design, analysis, and implementation of a modern service provider network architecture, including documenting designs with diagrams, BOMs, cabling sheets, and configurations; evaluate technologies in a private test lab; schedule migrations with minimal data-impact; provide expert fault isolation and resolution; develop secure network designs aligned with DISA STIGs and obtain Authority to Operate (ATO) for new devices and capabilities; supervise other network support specialists; contribute to process improvements and product design. Requires TS/SCI Poly, DoD 8140 IAT Level 2, extensive experience with network engineering, and hands-on work with Cisco, Brocade, and/or Juniper switches/routers; proficiency with OSPF, BGP, DNS, VLANs, and production network troubleshooting; Nice-to-haves include CCNP or equivalent, MPLS WANs experience, and strong briefing/documentation skills.
