Job Summary
The Senior Network & Infrastructure Engineer will architect, deploy, and optimize Cisco Nexus switches in a high-performance computing (HPC) environment, manage Cisco NextGen Firewalls, and maintain VPN connections. Responsibilities include overseeing network circuits, administering VMware clusters on Dell VxRail, supporting high-performance storage, and providing Linux systems administration. Required qualifications include extensive experience in network engineering, strong skills in Cisco systems, and familiarity with HPC storage solutions.
Required Qualifications
- 5–8+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering and infrastructure
- Advanced knowledge of Cisco Nexus (NX-OS) and Cisco NextGen Firewalls
- Deep understanding of BGP, OSPF, VLANs, LACP, and VPN protocols (IPsec/SSL)
- Proven experience with Dell server hardware and VxRail
- Exposure to high-performance file systems (VAST, Isilon)
- Ability to work on-site at data centers and office/labs, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working within server racks.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with AWS (VPC, Transit Gateway) or GCP (Cloud Router)
- CCNP (Data Center/Security) certification
- VCP (VMware Certified Professional) certification
- AWS Solutions Architect certification
- Automation experience with Python, Ansible, or Terraform
