Job Summary
Operate equipment safely and independently while performing all Multi-Craft Mechanic, Mechanic, and Electrician duties across maintenance tasks. Intervene on non-conformances affecting safety, health, and environmental compliance, communicating concerns through established processes. Lead or participate in Employee Safety Committee activities, incident investigations, root cause analyses, and process safety reviews. Follow all Standard Operating Procedures, use required PPE including full-face respirators, and maintain clean work areas. Complete mandatory training on departmental safety, reading requirements, and the 7-Step Training Plan. Work onsite in Orange, CA within a union environment for U.S. citizens or Green Card holders.
Required Qualifications
- Must qualify as a Multi Craft Sr.
- Must qualify as a Sr. Mechanic
- Must qualify as a Sr. Electrician
- Must be willing to perform all jobs from lower classes within the maintenance department
- Must practice good housekeeping habits
- Communication skills; Able to take verbal directions, understand written procedures
- Able to use basic hand and power tools
- Must work from schematics, sketches, and manuals
- Must be familiar solid state devices
- Proper use of measuring devices
- Meggers, DVOM
- Must be familiar with class 1 div. 1 & 2 codes
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Must be fit to use a full face respirator ( Clean shaven requirement, no beard)
- Must be a U.S Citizen or Green Card holder
- Complete all required Training: Departmental Safety
- Department's reading requirements
- Department Task Training captured on 7 – Step Training Plan
- On the job training
