Job Summary
Perform full range of MR imaging procedures on all patient types in accordance with established protocols and physician directives. Operate MR IV pumps and monitors to assist nursing and anesthesia staff, administering contrast media and non-narcotic medications as required. Execute weekly QA phantom scans and log data per American College of Radiology standards. Serve as charge technologist to manage patient flow, coordinate with technical aides for room turnover, and collaborate with financial associates to minimize delays. Maintain equipment, analyze system malfunctions, and report issues to biomedical engineering while enforcing MR safety standards. Provide patient education and answer procedural questions. Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree required or Certificate in radiologic technology or MRI from a program accredited by an agency recognized by the US Department of Education (USDE) or Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA)
- 3+ years MRI experience
- ARMRIT and/or ARRT (MRI) Certification
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification
- Must know or be able to learn transverse and cross-sectional anatomical and pathological presentations
- Must be able to work under stressful and emergent situations
