Job Summary
Perform full range of MR imaging procedures on all patient types in accordance with established protocols and safety policies. Operate MR IV pumps, administer contrast media and medications, and execute advanced studies including cardiac, functional, and guided procedures. Manage equipment maintenance, perform weekly QA phantoms, and monitor system malfunctions to coordinate with biomedical engineering. Serve as charge technologist to optimize patient flow, assist in staff training, and collaborate with technical aides and financial associates to ensure efficient room turnover and timely exam completion.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree required or Certificate in radiologic technology or MRI from a program accredited by an agency recognized by the US Department of Education (USDE) or Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA)
- 3+ years MRI experience
- ARMRIT and/or ARRT (MRI) Certification
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification
- Must know or be able to learn transverse and cross-sectional anatomical and pathological presentations
- Must be able to work under stressful and emergent situations
