Job Summary
Perform full range of MR imaging procedures on all patient types per protocol, including cardiac MR, functional MRI, and MR-guided procedures like breast biopsy. Operate MR IV pumps, administer contrast and non-narcotic medications, and perform QA phantoms weekly. Serve as charge technologist to assist patient flow and train new staff. Monitor equipment for malfunctions, log tickets to biomedical engineering, and coordinate with technical aides and financial associates for efficient room turnover and exam completion. Adhere strictly to MR safety policies, research guidelines, and RIS/EMR workflows. Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree required or Certificate in radiologic technology or MRI from a program accredited by an agency recognized by the US Department of Education (USDE) or Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA)
- 3+ years MRI experience
- ARMRIT and/or ARRT (MRI) Certification
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification
- Must know or be able to learn transverse and cross-sectional anatomical and pathological presentations
- Must be able to work under stressful and emergent situations
