Job Summary
Senior Mortgage Loan Officer responsible for guiding current and potential members through the mortgage loan process, including application, approval, and closing; present appropriate loan products and explain guidelines based on the member's profile; review credit and financial data; collect documentation; coordinate with compliance and underwriting to meet loan conditions; maintain ongoing communication with members through closing; ensure exceptional service and compliance with consumer laws and company policies; maintain knowledge of lending programs and licensing requirements; achieve personal production goals; work with loan origination systems and support staff as part of a team; drives to various Wellby branch locations and member sites as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum seven (7) years of experience as a mortgage loan officer, or five (5) years as a loan officer and two (2) years of mortgage experience or as a loan officer assistant
- Must have originated both conventional and government lending products
- Thorough understanding of conventional and government lending underwriting guidelines
- Ability to meet and acquire a Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS) license
- Valid Texas Driver’s license or obtained within 30 days of hire
- Must meet Wellby’s Loan Officer’s monthly minimum standards
