Sr. ML Engineer

Senior ML Engineer responsible for designing, building, and managing scalable ML infrastructure on AWS and Visa OnPrem, with a focus on MLOps, Kubernetes/Kubeflow, and secure deployment of ML models and LLM workloads. Owns modules of the ML platform, performs architectural reviews, and implements robust deployment standards. Builds secure, scalable pipelines and serving infrastructure for traditional ML and Generative AI workloads; serves as design authority for model deployment, infrastructure automation, and platform security to enable data scientists and AI engineers to move models from research to production. Key responsibilities include ML platform architecture, Kubernetes & Kubeflow management, model deployment and LLMOps, cloud security and IAM/VPC design, IaC with Terraform or CloudFormation, CI/CD for ML, cross-functional enablement with data scientists and AI engineers, and observability/monitoring (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana). The role is hybrid (days in office to be confirmed) with travel 5-10% and office-based work in the US (Austin, TX).
