Job Summary
Troubleshoot mechanical equipment issues, manage solutions, and perform preventive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance to maximize uptime on industrial waste treatment systems, pumps, blowers, and fans. Execute root cause analysis to identify permanent solutions for recurrence failures and provide technical support during commissioning and startup of new instrumentation. Mentor lower-level technicians, develop standard operating procedures, and interpret complex schematics while adhering to safety rules and environmental management guidelines. Support plant operations during off-hours and flexible shift duties as necessary.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- technical school certification
- Millwright and/or Industrial Mechanical Experience
- 8+ years of experience
- Valid current Texas Class "C" Driver License
- Must be able to become certified for Respiratory Protection and Confined-Space Entry Program within six (6) months of employment and maintain certification
- Ability to work flexible hours as necessary
- Ability to work independently within the broad scope of an objective
- Intermediate knowledge in relevant waste water code regulations
- Must have expert understanding of equipment/processes
- Must be able to re-build centrifugal pumps (both end suction and split case)
- Must be able to re-build exhaust fans (both centers hung and over hung in-board and out-board bearings)
- Must be able to position oneself in a tight fitting, FAB environment
- Must be able to work in a clean room
- Must be able to support and/or work shift duties in a 24x7 manufacturing environment
- Must be able to become certified for Respiratory Protection and Confined-Space Entry Program within six (6) months of employment and maintain certification

Desired Qualifications
- Should demonstrate a deep level adaptability and the ability to change priorities based on the business needs
- May provide mentoring to other non-exempt personnel
- May provide technical training to the department or organization
- Vibration level 1 Certification a plus
- Laser and/or Reverse Alignment
- Maintains confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary information
- Able to work in a team environment
- Understands manufacturing systems
- Effectively communicates via verbal/written means to immediate team and other SAS departments
- Advanced knowledge of relevant industrial waste treatment systems
- Has advanced knowledge of relevant software tools (i.e., Programmable Logic Controller, Microsoft etc.)
- Intermediate knowledge of mentoring, coaching and leading groups/people
- May require the ability to maintain a state license as necessary
- NCCER Certification would be a plus
