Job Summary
Sr Migration Network Security Engineer sought to support the US Army AGUN migration program. The role is 100% remote with up to 10% travel and requires operating secure network solutions, performing legacy environment discovery, transforming firewall policies across multiple vendors, supporting secure access solutions including ZTNA, capacity planning, and ensuring compliance with DoD standards. Responsibilities include documenting designs and diagrams, collaborating with stakeholders, and maintaining network security posture for enterprise-wide Army networking activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) with 12+ years of experience or Master’s degree with 10+ years of experience
- Active DoD IAT Level II (Security+) certification or equivalent prior to start
- Active DoD SECRET security clearance (US Citizenship required)
- Experience with networking concepts (LAN, WAN, BGP, TCP/UDP, IPSec, VPN, L2/L3 routing) and firewall virtualization
- Experience with firewall platforms (Palo Alto, Cisco, Juniper, etc.) and multiple vendor technologies
- Knowledge of secure access solutions and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA)
- Ability to document designs and diagrams; strong written/verbal communication
- Willingness to travel up to 10%
- Experience with network management tools (Palo Alto Panorama, Cisco Prime/DNA, Junos Space)
- Experience with DoD STIGs and system hardening
- Experience with NetSecOps tools (Git, GitLab CI/CD, Ansible, Terraform, Puppet)
- Python knowledge
