Job Summary
Senior Medical Science Liaison role in the US Tri-State region (NYC, NJ, Philly) for Alnylam. The MSL builds long-term peer-to-peer relationships with emerging opinion leaders and healthcare professionals in community and health-system settings; delivers scientifically rigorous information on Alnylam therapies; engages in evidence-based dialogue; supports medical education initiatives, advisory boards, speaker programs, and clinical research activities; gathers and communicates field insights to internal teams; travels within the territory (up to ~60–70%), resides in territory, and may work remotely within the US. Qualifications include a PharmD, PhD, MD, or DO in a life-science discipline (pharmaceutical industry fellowship preferred) and 1–3 years of prior MSL experience. Strong scientific acumen, communication/presentation skills, CRM proficiency, and ability to travel are required. The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, adherence to regulations and PhRMA guidelines, and ongoing scientific strategy development.
Required Qualifications
- Required: PharmD, PhD, MD, or DO in a relevant life science discipline, pharmaceutical industry fellowship preferred
- 1-3 years’ prior MSL experience within the pharma/biotech industry
- Scientific acumen with ability to critically evaluate and communicate complex clinical data.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills; ability to engage credibly in peer-to-peer scientific dialogue.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and digital engagement platforms.
- Ability to travel up to 60–70% within assigned territory; must reside within territory.
- Valid driver's license required.
