Job Summary
Senior Medical Science Liaison Manager for the Great Plains region (TX, CO, AZ, NM) focused on community-based care. Builds and sustains peer-to-peer relationships with emerging opinion leaders and healthcare professionals to advance evidence-based scientific exchange, gather field insights, and drive patient outcomes. Delivers accurate, balanced scientific information, engages HCPs in community practice settings, supports medical education initiatives and clinical research activities, synthesizes field insights for internal stakeholders, responds to medical information requests, collaborates cross-functionally to align scientific strategy, represents Alnylam at medical conferences, and travels within the territory (up to 60–70%) to execute field medical responsibilities in accordance with regulations and company policies. Requires advanced life-science degree (PharmD/PhD/MD/DO) and 1-3 years MSL experience; travel-ready with strong data communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Required Qualifications
- PharmD, PhD, MD, or DO in a relevant life science discipline
- 1-3 years’ prior MSL experience within the pharma/biotech industry
- Proficiency with CRM systems and digital engagement platforms
- Ability to travel up to 60–70% within assigned territory; must reside within territory
- Valid driver's license required
- Scientific acumen with ability to critically evaluate and communicate complex clinical data
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills; ability to engage credibly in peer-to-peer scientific dialogue
