Job Summary
Raytheon is seeking an Industrial Engineer Section Manager to lead and develop a team of industrial engineers across multiple factories (Tucson primary) to maximize throughput, improve efficiency, and deliver value. Responsibilities include team leadership and development of ~12 engineers, mentoring and performance evaluations, Lean transformation initiatives, factory modeling using value stream maps, capacity analyses, CAD-based layouts, and coordination with Manufacturing Operations, Engineering, Quality, EH&S, and other functions. The role emphasizes data-driven updates to senior leadership, cross-site collaboration, and influencing roadmaps and investments in infrastructure and future-state capabilities. Travel up to 20% to support factories outside Arizona is required; role is onsite with primary location in Tucson, AZ.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering
- Active DoD security clearance or ability to obtain interim clearance
- U.S. citizenship or eligibility for security clearance
- 10 years of relevant experience (8 years with a Master’s degree) or equivalent
- Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Capacity Modeling, Facility Design, and Process Optimization
- Experience in manufacturing environments, preferably with government contractors
- Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills
