Job Summary
Senior Engineering Manager leads a multi-site RMS engineering team supporting Collins Aerospace products in RMS/HF disciplines. Responsible for attracting, developing, and engaging a talented team; promoting capabilities and succession planning; fostering open cross-portfolio collaboration; ensuring adherence to RMS processes; driving a culture of quality, consistency, and continuous improvement; overseeing engineering bids and project execution; managing technical scope, cost, and schedule; and coordinating necessary staff, facilities, and equipment. Role requires experience with systems, hardware or software development, aircraft systems, and knowledge of relevant engineering standards and agile practices. Travel up to 20% and relocation support are available.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or related field
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience; or advanced degree with minimum 7 years of experience
- Project management experience (cost, schedule, scope)
- Development background in systems, hardware, or software
- Experience in aircraft systems
- Experience coaching or mentoring in formal or informal settings
