Job Summary
The Sr. Metrology Technician performs routine calibrations, tests, and inspections both in-lab and on-site, utilizing accredited standards. Key responsibilities include calibrating and certifying electronic and dimensional measuring equipment, maintaining performance standards, recording maintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Successful candidates will demonstrate fluency in calibration procedures, equipment setup skills, and the ability to assist entry-level technicians in developing measurement procedures. A high school diploma with significant experience or an associate degree in engineering technology is required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma with 7+ years of experience in the field, OR associate’s degree in engineering technology or a relevant field with 5+ years of experience.
- Working knowledge of one or more of the following voltages, current, resistance, capacitance, time and frequency, signal conditioning.
- Ability to interpret, validate, modify, and create uncertainty budgets in accordance with ISO 17025:2017.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office software, including Excel.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with IndySoft, Fluke Met/Team, Fluke Met/Track, and Met/Cal systems.
- Familiarity with laboratory measurement and calibration equipment.
- Experience in calibration of mass and weights, and/or the use of mass comparators.
