(Sr.) Medical Science Liaison - Oncology

Job Summary

Engage healthcare professionals, opinion leaders, and payers to communicate clinical and health-economic data related to Amgen's bone therapeutic area. Execute local opinion leader plans, lead advisory boards and congress engagements, and respond to unsolicited medical inquiries in compliance with guidelines. Collect and analyze field medical insights to inform cross-functional strategy, support evidence generation and investigator-sponsored study proposals, and provide input on study feasibility. Collaborate with commercial, regulatory, and medical communications partners to support aligned objectives and speaker training. Maintain therapeutic area expertise through required training and mentor new hires.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, medicine, pharmacy, biotechnology, or a related scientific discipline
  • Relevant experience in a medical, scientific, or clinical role within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare environment
  • demonstrated capability in scientific exchange with healthcare professionals
  • hospital-based experience
  • 1–4 years of experience in Medical Affairs or Scientific Affairs within a biotech or pharmaceutical company
  • 1–3 years of experience as a Medical Science Liaison or equivalent field-based medical role
  • Strong background in clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research
  • experience with study design, evaluation, and evidence generation
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence external medical experts and internal stakeholders through scientific credibility
  • Strong communication skills, including scientific presentation, medical writing, and documentation
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English
  • local language fluency
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethical conduct, compliance, and professionalism

Desired Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree (Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., D.O.) or Master's degree in a scientific or medically related discipline
  • Therapeutic area expertise in Bone / musculoskeletal diseases
