Job Summary
Act as a floater for the logistics team providing as needed coverage for various routes, delivering all daily picks to your branch at the end of your shift. Load necessary suppliers for pickups, operate the company vehicle safely, and utilize a handheld electronic device to manage daily tasks. Assist with dispatch, handle specimens and lab samples securely, and evaluate traffic patterns or weather conditions as needed. Work directly with the dispatcher for additional pick-ups while maintaining strong punctuality and time management. This role includes a company vehicle with an optional $125 monthly personal use allowance.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years or more previous driver or courier experience
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
- Be at least 21 years' old
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position
- Must be available for weekend coverage on a rotation basis
- Must be available for Monday-Friday schedule
- Must be available for start times ranging from 9:45am - 9:00pm
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
- 1 year or more of customer service experience
- Very punctual
- Strong time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to problem solve customer issues
