Job Summary
Oversee clinical operations, quality metrics, and financial performance for Obstetrics and Family Birth programs across Legacy Medical Group sites. Lead Medical Directors, manage physician staffing and compensation, and drive strategic workforce planning and program growth. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, conduct annual evaluations, and facilitate collective bargaining negotiations with union partners. Develop performance metrics, review operational policies, and implement best practice protocols to enhance patient safety and outcomes. This 1.0 FTE role splits 0.60 administrative and 0.40 clinical duties within a nonprofit health system serving the Portland and Vancouver metropolitan area.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a four-year U.S. medical school or the equivalent
- Residency completed
- Board Certified in a relevant medical specialty
- A minimum of five years practicing medicine in their specialty
- Three years of leadership experience
- Leadership experience should include responsibilities for financial management
- Experience in an integrated, complex health system
- Unrestricted license to practice medicine in applicable state(s)
- Active or courtesy member in good standing with the medical staff for each hospital where the physician provides services or the Legacy Medical Group
