Job Summary
Conduct independent data collection, analysis, calibration, and script writing using Python or Matlab for mechatronics systems design. Perform hands-on hardware work in the lab or cleanroom to gather necessary data. Define plans for system integration, testing, and troubleshooting while collaborating closely with the customer support organization. Apply feedback control system design, signal processing, and experimental design to characterize mechanical systems and retire design risks through hardware-in-the-loop experimentation. Requires a doctorate or master's degree with relevant work experience, strong numerical optimization skills, and willingness to ramp quickly from existing documentation. Some travel to customer sites is required less than 10%.
