Job Summary
Manage project estimating through take-off and analysis, oversee manpower scheduling, and handle Requests for Information. Prepare submittal packages by managing contractor data flow and assisting in form population. Generate project progress billings and lead technical analysis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving for HVAC air equipment, piping systems, and plumbing. Apply ASHRAE guidelines to ensure compliance during complex mechanical and industrial system installations. Requires MS Project proficiency and a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management.
Required Qualifications
- Basic working knowledge HVAC & Plumbing Design & System Operation
- Basic working knowledge of Commercial & Industrial construction sequences
- Basic working knowledge of construction estimating
- Basic working knowledge of testing procedures for HVAC systems
- Basic working knowledge of ASHRAE data & guidelines
- Average proficiency with MS Project scheduling program
- Average proficiency with MS Access or other database programs
- Above average proficiency with MS Excel & Word
- Above average proficiency with Internet
- Above average verbal & writing skills
- Above average organizational skills in handling & archiving technical data
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Other Engineering Disciplines (Civil, Industrial, or Structural)
- 5 years industry experience as a Construction Project Engineer
- Experience with project administration
- Experience with project scheduling
- Experience with productivity analysis
- Experience with project cost control accounting
- Experience with equipment & material procurement
