Job Summary
The Senior Mechanical Preconstruction Manager provides preconstruction and estimating leadership for projects within the National Mission Critical team. Responsibilities include developing conceptual and detailed estimates, selecting subcontractors, conducting quantity take-offs, and providing preconstruction expertise to support project teams. The role demands strong communication skills, understanding of market pricing for mechanical projects, and the ability to evaluate construction methods for their impact on schedule and cost. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architectural, or Construction Management and at least 10 years of experience in the commercial/mechanical construction industry, preferably with Mission Critical Data Centers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architectural or Construction Management (or equivalent work experience)
- At least 10 years of proven experience in the commercial/mechanical construction industry
Desired Qualifications
- Mission Critical Data Center project experience
- Preconstruction experience with a Mechanical subcontractor
- Experience with early procurement of scopes/equipment
- Experience evaluating sustainable initiatives for Mechanical Systems
- Proficiency with CSI and Uniformat II work breakdown structures
- Working knowledge of DESTINI Estimator, Microsoft Excel, OST, and Bluebeam
