Job Summary
Design development and modification of structures, equipment, and systems for conversion, refurbishment, and upgrades to mobile offshore drilling units; develop work packs, scopes of work, and procurement specifications; vendor expediting and supervision of OEM/3rd party contributors; coordinate surveys and site visits, cost estimation, and interface with internal stakeholders; plan procurements and contribute to project cost workbooks; travel to worksites up to 40% per year; require pre-employment medical and background checks; ABS, DNV, API knowledge and strong communication and organizational skills.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Technical School and/or Military Service Training Certifications in relevant subjects
- Minimum 10 years relevant experience with offshore drilling contractor, aboard maritime vessels, or in a shipyard environment
- Experience with ABS, DNV, API, and related industry regulations and standards
- Proficient computer skills and ability to review general arrangements, block diagrams, flow diagrams, and OEM documentation
