Job Summary
Senior Mechanical Engineer to design, optimize, and validate mobile mechanical systems for oil and gas applications, including hydraulic equipment, lifting systems, and field-service machinery. Lead CAD modeling and drawings (Inventor/Pro-E/SolidWorks), prototype and validate to API/ASME standards, troubleshoot field issues, and collaborate with design, manufacturing, and field teams to deliver robust, high-performance solutions. This role is remote within the Midwest (MN, WI, IL, IA, MO, KS, TX, OK, AR, LA) with ~10% travel to customer sites and fabrication facilities, requiring strong mechanical engineering fundamentals and experience in oil & gas or heavy industrial equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Mechanical Engineering (Masterâs preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design for oil & gas or heavy industrial equipment
- Proficiency in CAD software (Inventor, Pro-E, SolidWorks)
- Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, power units, and mechanical assemblies
- Proven ability to manage projects from concept through deployment
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
