Job Summary
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Design Group, you will collaborate with licensed engineers and designers to design mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and other custom industrial applications. You will support capital projects, engage with vendors to select mechanical equipment, and interface with project construction teams. Your role includes engineering calculations, oversight in mechanical design using Autodesk Revit MEP, and ensuring high-quality solutions for diverse clients. Strong communication and computer skills are essential, along with 10 years of relevant engineering experience.
Required Qualifications
- 10 years of mechanical facilities design engineering experience
- Ability to complete mechanical system analysis, sizing, design, and report writing
- Ability to perform as a Mechanical Engineer and execute mechanical design on multi-discipline projects
- P.E. License to seal engineering documents
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET school
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in mechanical design elements of manufacturing and distribution facilities for food, beverage, dairy or consumer products industries
- Experience in the design of advanced technologies (semiconductor) or life sciences
- Knowledge of refrigeration system design and operation
- AutoCAD MEP experience
- Revit experience
