Job Summary
Perform engineering calculations, investigations, and design activities for heavy-duty vehicle components and systems. Design and develop mechanical assemblies, manage engineering projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support sustaining engineering and production operations. Evaluate designs for performance, manufacturability, safety, and cost while troubleshooting engineering issues and implementing practical design solutions. Prepare layouts, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to guide designers and technicians.
Required Qualifications
- Accredited Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- Three (3) or more years of related experience
- Regular attendance
Desired Qualifications
- Accredited Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Mechanical design experience supporting heavy-duty, off-highway, construction, agricultural, or similar mobile equipment
- Experience with sheet metal assemblies, weldments, and fabricated structures
- Hands-on mechanical aptitude with experience testing, troubleshooting, and validating engineering designs
- Understanding of hydraulic systems and basic electrical integration
- Experience supporting production or sustaining engineering environments
- Experience with Siemens NX, SolidWorks, Teamcenter, or similar engineering software
- Experience with FEA, GD&T, and engineering drawing standards
