Job Summary
Senior Mechanical Engineer – Rotating & Packages leading design, specification, and technical evaluation of mechanical packages (pumps, compressors, blowers, HVAC units, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, special equipment) across feasibility, FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning. Provides technical leadership on static and rotating equipment, coordinates with vendors, EPC contractors, and multi-disciplinary teams, reviews datasheets, specs, drawings, and vendor documents; conducts engineering calculations, simulations, and analyses to meet industry standards; manages vendor coordination, FAT/SAT, MTOs, and technical bid evaluations; mentors junior engineers and supports project planning, man-hour estimation, and execution strategy. Requires a university degree in mechanical engineering, minimum 15 years in oil & gas/petrochemical/energy with a focus on mechanical static equipment in an EPC environment, English proficiency, and knowledge of API/ASME/ASTM/ANSI/ISA/NFPA codes; seeks candidates eligible to work in EU/Netherlands; located in The Hague area with in-person work arrangement.
