Job Summary
Design complex mechanical and electronic equipment such as plumbing, pumps, drive systems, pneumatics, and sheet metal with minimal supervision. Create detailed piece part drawings and Bills of Materials while performing complex CAD design and documentation operations. Maintain current knowledge of practical fabrication techniques and analyze design factors including strength-weight efficiency, material availability, and ease of fabrication. Uphold company core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork, and report any quality problems or defects to management for corrective action. Requires up to 5% travel and a Secret security clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of an Associate's Degree
- Minimum of 6 years of CAD (3D & 2D drafting) experience
- Proficient in AutoDesk Inventor and AutoCAD
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Proactive work-ethic and take ownership of work
- Must be able to pass CAD test in interview; model a plate drawing to 3D in Inventor and export to CAD
- Up to 5% travel
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance issued by the U.S. Government throughout the course of their employment
