Sr. ME Technician (2nd shift)

Job Summary
Execute continuous improvement projects, implement lean manufacturing, and improve safety, quality, and efficiency of work processes. Conduct time studies, write standard operating procedures, and design carts, racks, and fixtures to enhance operations. Collaborate with Safety and Design Engineering to support DFM, track project milestones, and modify CAD drawings. Analyze quality issues, identify root causes, and lead cross-functional teams while providing mentorship. Manage small projects, coordinate tooling requests, and ensure compliance with company procedures. Report to Senior Manufacturing Engineering Supervisors and lead safety training. Requires 3+ years of manufacturing experience, CAD proficiency, and ability to work in a large corporate structure. Includes 10% local travel.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or productive areas transferences desirable
- Strong ability to write technical documentation such as SOPs
- Solid modeling/CAD proficiency (viewing/manipulating drawings)
- Ability to work in a large, global corporate structure
- Self-starter
- Ability to solve problems, take responsibility and deliver results with a spirit of innovation and strong commitment to excellence
- High English proficiency (read, write, and speak)
- Experience using MRP, PLM, or Enterprise systems in Engineering or Manufacturing
- Strong foundation in 5S, lean manufacturing, and other SPC quality tools
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
- Will occasionally need to lift to 40lbs
- 10% (Would primarily be local travel to vendors, other Vertiv sites, or warehouses)
