Sr Material Compliance Engineer

Job Summary
Lead material compliance activities related to global regulations, including Prop 65, REACH, RoHS, TSCA, and PFAS. Perform advanced compliance assessments of bills of materials, components, and materials to identify risks and support decision-making. Drive compliance strategy throughout the product lifecycle for new product development and existing products. Interpret and apply global regulatory requirements to products, components, materials, and supplier-provided information. Prepare compliance documentation, regulatory declarations, reports, and supporting records for internal and external stakeholders. Lead change management activities related to regulatory updates and assess impacts on existing products and compliance programs. Serve as a technical resource for suppliers, laboratories, and regulatory agencies to support compliance verification and issue resolution. Develop, enhance, and maintain compliance processes, tools, and documentation systems to improve program effectiveness. Collaborate with engineering, sourcing, quality, and other cross-functional teams to address complex compliance challenges. Mentor compliance engineers and analysts by providing technical guidance and knowledge sharing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a closely related discipline
- Minimum of 4 years of related experience in compliance testing, regulatory compliance, sustainability, environmental science, or a related field
- Deep knowledge of material compliance regulations and regulatory requirements
- Demonstrated ability to interpret complex regulatory frameworks and technical documentation
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions and organizational levels
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage ambiguity and navigate complex regulatory environments
- Experience developing or improving compliance processes, tools, or documentation systems
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 10%
