Job Summary
Senior Mass Properties Engineer responsible for technical leadership in mass properties calculations and analyses; leads multidisciplinary engineering teams; oversees mass properties testing and validation; inventories and weighs aircraft; develops and implements mass properties best practices and standards; mentors teams and engages with clients, suppliers, and industry partners; identifies opportunities for innovation and improvement; role supports integration of mass properties data into aerospace system design and development; position includes travel up to 10% and work in office/lab/hangar or hybrid environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience
- Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary design & development teams
- Essential functions: travel up to 10% (implicit) and ability to work at a computer for extended periods
Additional Requirements
- U.S. citizenship required for security clearance
- ability to obtain and maintain Secret U.S. Security Clearance
