Sr Marketing Accountant

Job Summary
Manage confirmations, reconciliations, and settlements for physical and financial transactions involving oil, natural gas, and NGLs. Review commercial agreements to ensure accounting implications are reflected in systems, analyze complex transactions for compliance, and ensure timely payments to vendors while supporting receivables collection. Provide monthly sales prices, fee rates, and journals to the Production/Revenue team, deliver activity analysis reports to Planning and Financial Reporting, and maintain open account balances. Lead monthly accounting closes, including accruals and reconciling items, and mentor staff. Support audits with technical analyses and drive process improvements. Bachelor's degree in Accounting required with 7+ years of experience, preferably in oil and gas. Advanced Excel skills and strong general ledger experience essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Minimum of 7 plus years of accounting experience, preferably within the oil and gas industry
- Experience interpreting and applying commercial contracts and preparing analyses to respond to internal and external inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, PivotTables, and financial data analysis
- Strong financial accounting skills, including hands-on experience with general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliations
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and reconcile pipeline, truck, and plant statements
