Job Summary
Senior Build Engineer for Starship SpaceX program. Responsibilities include taking design-for-manufacturability concepts through to integration and testing of the full vehicle; developing production procedures; managing transition of parts from development to high-rate production; coordinating testing of tooling and systems; implementing DFMA improvements to increase production efficiency; creating CAD models and drawings for flight hardware and tooling; serving as the primary on-site design engineering point of contact for build and assembly; creating build schedules; resolving manufacturing discrepancies with the Quality team; and partnering with engineering and production teams to generate improvements for current and next-generation vehicles. Required experience includes a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a relevant engineering field, 5+ years of professional engineering experience, and strong skills in GD&T, NX/Teamcenter, FEA, welding processes, and tooling/fixtures.
