Job Summary
The Sr. Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and improving manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards. The role involves troubleshooting production issues, coordinating manufacturing launches for new products, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Candidates should possess a four-year degree in an engineering field, along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Key skills include project management, problem-solving, and strong communication, as well as knowledge of manufacturing processes and engineering principles. Preferred qualifications include familiarity with CAD and ERP systems.
Required Qualifications
- Four-year degree from an accredited college in an Engineering field or equivalent
- 5 + years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of engineering science and technology
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and techniques for effective manufacturing
- Ability to analyze complex problems and lead a systematic approach to determine root cause and corrective actions
- Ability to drive projects to completion using project management tools and tactics
- Communication skills to convey complex concepts effectively
- Mathematics knowledge applied to engineering tasks
- Mechanical knowledge of machines and tools
- Knowledge of design techniques and principles
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Desired Qualifications
- Manufacturing Engineering and Mechanical Engineering preferred
- Cad software skills desired – skills in Creo preferred
- Knowledge of ERP and MES systems desired
