Job Summary
Sr. Manufacturing Development Engineer – Process owns the end-to-end 3D digital manufacturing workflow from initial laser print files through stress-relief, heat treatment, and final part extraction, developing high-temperature thermal recipes and laser interaction parameters, conducting DOEs and statistical analyses to optimize processing windows, and collaborating with DFAM, Applications, and Design teams to ensure manufacturability and mechanical/metallurgical integrity of parts produced on metal additive manufacturing platforms.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in process development, metallurgical engineering, or advanced materials processing within high-precision manufacturing (such as Metal Additive Manufacturing, Semiconductor fabrication, Aerospace processing, or advanced Injection Molding).
- Proven ability to build and analyze statistical process control (SPC) data and DOEs to establish highly repeatable manufacturing windows.
- Deep understanding of material behavior, thermal stress development, microstructural evolution, or mechanical testing protocols.
