Job Summary
Lead warehouse operations by achieving safety, service, and cost targets through a safety-first mindset that ensures every associate remains injury free. Oversee and develop warehouse managers and associates via one-on-one coaching, performance reviews, and gap analysis plans to drive engagement and retention. Manage inbound receiving, storage, and outbound loading while maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring food safety standards are met. Develop production flow processes, identify waste, and implement cost reduction strategies to improve efficiency. Approve daily load plans, monitor operational data including inventory losses and safety reports, and recommend changes to achieve zero-error benchmarks. Maintain physical facility and equipment compliance with OSHA requirements and interpret collective bargaining agreements in union facilities. Direct warehouse managers and clerical staff while supervising on-floor associates, forklift drivers, and loaders in cooler and freezer environments. Requires five years of warehouse supervision experience, proficiency in WMS and Microsoft Office, and ability to interpret financial and operational data.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of experience in warehouse supervision
- Broad knowledge of warehouse operations, methods and procedures
- Strong leadership, communication and people development skills
- Ability to openly and effectively communicate with all associates/departments within the company
- Familiarity with inventory control, OSHA, HACCP and other regulatory requirements
- Ability to interpret financial and operational data
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
- High school diploma or GED
- 10% travel required, typically for mandatory meetings and/or training
