Job Summary
Lead Vantor's global export compliance program, managing policies, procedures, and governance for export, reexport, transfer, sanctions, and restricted-party compliance. Provide senior-level guidance on ITAR, EAR, OFAC, CBP, and anti-boycott requirements while acting as the export authority for commercial foreign programs. Partner with Security, Contracts, Procurement, Product, Engineering, and Sales teams to embed compliance into business planning and execution. Determine product classifications, draft licenses, and facilitate authorizations for spatial intelligence platforms, ground stations, and satellite tasking. Lead trade compliance audits, self-assessments, transaction testing, and corrective actions while monitoring regulatory developments to update controls and training. Manage multiple deadlines and provide practical solutions to cross-functional projects effectively.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizen, permanent resident, Asylee, or Refugee
- U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
- Expert knowledge and experience in ITAR and EAR export license drafting and implementation
- Expert knowledge and experience in classification of items in accordance with the regulations and interpretive guidance
- Proficiency in DECCS, SNAP-R licensing portals
Desired Qualifications
- Satellite and spacecraft industry experience on export issues
- Investigative skills, including ability to be discreet and manage confidential information
- Proven capability to use independent judgment and professionalism
- Confidence in the application of U.S. export control laws and design of Compliance programs
- Excellent judgment with the ability to balance competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to listen, learn and influence a global network of management-level personnel
- Excellent communications skills
