Job Summary
Lead and coordinate chemical formulation-based product development to support core business growth, ensuring outcomes meet performance, cost, and timing objectives. Identify, scope, and execute formulation superiority programs including enhanced performance attributes and new formulation platforms. Evaluate emerging chemical innovations to define raw material and processing requirements, while overseeing raw material substitution initiatives for cost savings and supply resilience. Manage R&D timelines, resource allocation, and cross-team dependencies to ensure on-time achievement of development milestones. Proactively assess technical risks from concept through commercialization, defining mitigation strategies and escalating issues with data-driven rationale. Partner closely with cross-functional New Product Development teams to ensure alignment on technical requirements and program priorities. Guide and mentor team members while championing disciplined project management practices to drive standardization and continuous improvement across workflows.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Sciences or Engineering, preferably Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing a technical team
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in formulation
- Extensive knowledge of chemical technologies and processes
- Extensive knowledge of Process Development
- Proven ability to rapidly commercialize new and existing products
- Flexibility to travel as necessary to fulfill job requirements
