Job Summary
Sr. Engineering Manager to own a defined engineering domain within an AI-augmented environment. Lead a stable coverage team, oversee staffing strategy (hiring, retention, and development), and act as the SME when projects require technical validation. Drive AI tooling adoption, deliver signal-dense status updates to leadership, and collaborate with Product, Architecture, Security, and DevOps to align with business priorities. Success is measured by talent development, operational excellence, and measurable impact across multiple concurrent workstreams.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of software engineering experience
- 3+ years in an engineering management or people leadership role
- Demonstrated ability to develop engineers (promotions, expanded scope, increased ownership)
- Comfort operating without direct control of project execution (influence through people and expertise)
- Familiarity with AI-powered development tools
- Strong cross-functional communication skills across product, architecture, security, and DevOps
- Experience with modern frontend or backend stacks, cloud infrastructure, and scalable system design
- Data-driven approach to operational decisions (engineering metrics)
