Sr Manager, Software Documentation

Lead and grow the software technical writing team within PTI to deliver high-quality internal and customer-facing documentation for Dematic’s software platforms.Responsibilities include guiding engineers, product managers, and cross-functional partners; conducting needs-analysis to determine documentation depth; writing, editing, and organizing technical content about installing, configuring, and customizing Dematic software and required third-party applications; leveraging simulators and test equipment to learn products; establishing a strong feedback loop with experts; and leading monthly team meetings and 1-on-1s to maintain engagement and recognition. Required capabilities include exceptional writing for an engineering audience, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, stakeholder engagement, UX writing awareness, knowledge of cloud platforms and IoT concepts, information architecture expertise, experience with API/code documentation, DITA/structured authoring, and a track record of delivering structured technical content through publishing workflows. A Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree is preferred, with equivalent certifications and experience considered. Demonstrated ability to guide and grow a team and collaborate across functions is essential.
