Sr Manager, Site Procurement Partner (Florence)

Job Summary
Sr Manager, Purchasing leads procurement initiatives, manages a team of procurement professionals, develops and executes multi-year strategies, builds key supplier relationships, ensures a consistent supply of essential materials, optimizes costs, and maintains high quality standards. Collaborates with Operations, Quality, R&D and business leaders to balance product availability with strategic inventory management, develops talent, implements risk mitigation and regulatory compliance programs, and drives supplier relationship management and strategic sourcing to support growing business needs. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree plus 5-10 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain management, or related field
- APICS, CPSM or equivalent procurement certification a plus
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing procurement teams, with success in performance management
- Experience with global sourcing, supplier relationship management, and implementing category strategies
- Ability to optimize costs and improve processes while maintaining quality standards
- Advanced negotiation skills and experience developing commercial contracts
- Experience with ERP systems and electronic sourcing tools (e.g., ARIBA)
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements and quality standards in manufacturing environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with data-driven decision making
- Excellence in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration
- Project management experience with continuous improvement methodologies
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and reporting tools
- Strong business acumen with understanding of P&L, cost accounting, and TCO analysis
- Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization and influence without direct authority
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Travel required (approximately 10%)
- Experience in life sciences, medical device, or similar regulated industry preferred
