Job Summary
Sr. Manager Regulatory & Compliance leads regulatory and quality programs across the organization to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements (FDA, USDA, FSMA, etc.), supplier quality, microbiology, and data analytics. Partners with Operations, R&D, Supply Chain, Procurement, and external stakeholders to identify trends, assess systemic risks, and prioritize resources for food safety and product quality. Oversees regulatory readiness, packaging accuracy, and labeling changes, and provides strategic direction for supplier quality, microbiology programs, and data-driven quality assurance. Leads a team of specialists in regulatory compliance, supplier quality, microbiology, and data analytics; develops dashboards and reporting tools for leadership visibility; collaborates with Marketing and R&D to align product innovations with regulatory and labeling requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry or related field required
- 5+ years in food quality, food safety, or regulatory compliance
- Deep understanding of U.S. and international food safety regulations, GFSI standards, and supplier quality management practices
- Proven success in developing and leading teams focused on compliance, microbiology, and data-driven quality assurance
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement risk assessment tools, compliance dashboards, and digital monitoring systems for proactive issue detection
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
- Certifications preferred: PCQI, HACCP, SQF Practitioner, Lead Auditor, or similar
- Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with proven success of identifying root causes and driving effective corrective actions
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage complex regulatory projects and competing priorities under tight deadlines
