Job Summary
Sr Manager Product Policy at PMI responsible for leading the development and execution of global product policy strategies across all product categories, ensuring alignment with regulatory frameworks, scientific evidence, and PMI’s business objectives. Translate complex regulatory and scientific landscapes into clear, actionable policy positions; oversee regulatory intelligence, policy development, governance, and external engagement; collaborate across Corporate Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Legal, and R&D; support regions with tailored policy guidance and advocacy materials. The role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to engage with regulators and senior stakeholders to enable market access and innovation.
Required Qualifications
- Scientific background in physics, chemistry, biology or related fields
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, scientific principles, and product standards relevant to highly regulated industries
- Extensive experience in Corporate Affairs, Regulatory Policy, Regulatory Affairs, Product Policy, or related functions
- Proven track record in developing and influencing regulatory or public policy frameworks
- Experience operating in highly regulated and rapidly evolving industries (e.g., FMCG, cosmetics, chemicals; tobacco & nicotine industry experience is a plus)
- Demonstrated ability to engage with senior internal stakeholders and external decision-makers
- Experience leading teams, cross-functional initiatives and managing complex, multi-stakeholder environments
- Ability to analyze regulatory trends and translate them into actionable policy guidance and strategic recommendations
- Ability to develop and prepare issue papers, advocacy materials and executive-level presentations
- Strong interpersonal skills, analytical skills, and leadership capabilities
