Job Summary
Design, document, and continuously improve standard procurement processes, policies, and controls across the Americas while driving adoption through structured change management. Build and own dashboards, savings trackers, and KPI reporting to provide real-time visibility into procurement performance, compliance rates, and supplier metrics. Champion the optimization of Ariba SLP and Ariba Buyer workflows, apply AI-assisted analytics for process efficiency, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate non-value-added steps. Lead a small team of procurement operations professionals, deliver training programs on sourcing fundamentals and policy compliance, and manage onboarding for new team members. Report operational performance and savings pipelines to senior leadership and partner with HQ to implement global sourcing strategies tailored for the region.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of progressive procurement, procurement operations, or sourcing excellence experience in a complex, matrixed organization
- Demonstrated track record of process improvement initiatives that reduced cycle time, improved compliance, or generated measurable, finance-validated cost savings
- Prior people leadership with a record of developing and elevating early-career procurement professionals
- Meaningful exposure to highly regulated industries or those with stringent compliance requirements, such as luxury retail, financial services, or similar sectors with complex procurement policy obligations
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI and digital tools to improve procurement execution, automate routine activities, enhance reporting, insights, and stakeholder support
- Ability to design, document, and enforce procurement workflows with precision without bureaucratic drag
- Mastery of working with spend data, building executive-grade dashboards, and translating data into operational decisions/execution to deliver optimized completion times and/or savings
- Proficient with AI-powered tools for spend analytics, reporting automation, and process improvement
- CPSM, CPPO, Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or above), or equivalent process improvement certification
- Experience operating across multi-country Americas environments — US, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil
- Travel to Shelton, CT; Dallas, TX; Mississauga, ON, or to suppliers' locations
- Occasional travel to Switzerland
Desired Qualifications
- Hands-on experience supporting or leading procurement system implementations — Ariba SLP and / or Ariba Buyer strongly preferred
- Familiarity with ERP environments beyond Ariba — SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Fusion, or equivalent
