Job Summary
Senior Manager of Pro Trade Credit Collections & Disputes at The Home Depot provides strategic leadership for the Collections and Disputes teams, guiding the development and execution of collection strategies to maximize cash flow, reduce bad debt exposure, and protect company assets. Responsible for policy enforcement, risk mitigation, and alignment with commercial and financial objectives; leverages analytics and automation tools (e.g., Bectran) to translate complex data into executive-level insights; collaborates with Sales, Operations, and Legal to secure past-due balances and maintain customer relationships; Oversees onboarding, training, governance, and performance management, ensuring regulatory compliance and scalable processes; Travel up to 20% and office-based in Atlanta, GA.
Required Qualifications
- Must be eighteen years of age or older
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States
Desired Qualifications
- 8+ years of progressive commercial credit and collections experience, including 4–5 years in a leadership capacity
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- Certifications such as Certified Credit Executive (CCE) or Certified International Credit Professional (CICP) preferred
- Experience with credit and collections management platforms, preferably Bectran or similar,
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools (Power BI or Tableau)
- Strong negotiation, forecast, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability to translate portfolio data into actionable insights and executive-ready reporting
- Experience developing automated reporting frameworks and dashboards
- Understanding of regulatory requirements and internal controls for credit and collections
- Ability to lead policy development, governance, and process optimization
- Travel willingness with a typical range of 5% to 20%
- Strong leadership presence and ability to mentor large teams
- Experience coordinating with Sales, Operations, and Legal teams
