Job Summary
Lead and mentor a 3-5 person software development team to design, deliver, and maintain 55ip’s market data platform for large investment advisory and wealth-management firms. Own end-to-end development, enhancement, and maintenance of data systems; architect and develop data ETL processes and data objects; collaborate with stakeholders to define innovative solutions; plan and run Agile Scrum sprints; ensure high-quality coding standards through code reviews and thorough testing; provide support during UAT and post go-live phases. Requires 12-14 years of software development experience, strong Python and related tech stack skills (Python, Django, Pandas, PostgreSQL, SQL, GitHub/Bit-Bucket, Jira), experience building large-scale data projects, and leadership/mentoring of a scrum team. Bachelor’s degree in Computer, Electronic or IT Engineering. Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills; attention to detail and a willingness to learn. Prior exposure to financial capital markets data and trading applications is preferred; experience with RabbitMQ, Redis, NoSQL, and knowledge of R are nice to have.
